What is HArmonyCA?
Allergan Aesthetics created the first hybrid filler in the marked called HArmonyCA , it is both a dermal filler & a collagen booster.
The crossed linked hyaluronic acid provides immediate hydration to the skin, plumping out lines and wrinkles, while the collagen booster (calcium hydroxyapatite) simultaneously stimulates natural collagen & elastin production to help restore, lift, tighten and enhance the skin.
Why use HArmonyCA?
Harmonyca is a great option to include in your aesthetic routine and maintenance, by itself or in addition to other fillers than can be used to lift and contour the face.
Dermal Fillers that contain hyaluronic acid alone typically can last up to 9 months; however the collagen booster in Harmonyca continues working to build a collagen base up to 18 months.
Additionally, lidocaine is included as one of the ingredients, making it a more comfortable treatment.

This treatment is indicated for patients who are not looking to gain excess volume in the face but have mild to moderate sagging, it is mainly indicated to treat the mid and lateral part of the face for a great lifting effect.
In patients with severe sagging that do not wish a surgery, we can use HArmonyCA in combination with other lifting treatments such as Ultherapy and Fillers.

Pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
Patients with cheek implants, recent face surgery (1 year), active skin infection like acne or cold sores.
HArmonyCA is not yet approved to be applied in other areas of the face like temples, eyes, folds, lips or body.

HArmonyCA has a long lasting effect, around 12 months, in some patients even more. However we recommend a maintenance treatment every 12 months.

Before your treatment:
Stop any blood thinners (aspirin, cumarin, warfarin, xarelto, vitamin D, fatty acids), always consult with your primary doctor if you can suspend your treatment.
Avoid alcohol 24hrs before your treatment
If you have an active skin infection (acne, cold sore, etc.) please let us know before your appointment.
Plan to spend about 1 hour in the office for your visit.

After cleaning, marking and disinfecting your skin, Dr Walters will treat the face with a "C shape technique" working on your cheeks and jawline.
This treatment is done using microcannulas, these are very fine needles with a blunt edge and will allows us to deliver the filler in a safer approach and free of pain.
