how many treatments do i need?
Recommended protocol is 2 sessions (4 weeks apart) with maintenance treatments every 9-12 months.
when will i see results?
Within a week, you will notice that your skin feels much more hydrated. You may find that you need less moisturiser. You will start feeling the best effects of the treatment after 3 months from the first treatment.
how is it different from other treatments?
Profhilo is very different from traditional dermal fillers.
It is a highly concentrated HA product (64mg/ml), free of additives, and has the added benefit of being a bio-remodeling agent that stimulates collagen and elastin production.
It is injected just underneath the skin, and is therefore much safer and associated with less side effects compared to traditional fillers.
It does not volumise the face, like certain dermal fillers. It does not work on muscles like botox (but these treatments work very well together!).
is it safe?
Profhilo is highly biocompatible with our skin, as it is made from ultra-pure Hyaluronic Acid, a substance which is naturally found in our skin and is free of additives. It's therefore very well tolerated. Since it's introduction in Italy in 2015 by IBSA (a highly reputable Swiss pharmaceutical company), Profhilo has been used extensively worldwide with over 2 million treatments applied.

what are the possible side effects?
After your treatment, you may notice localized swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, itching, all of which should resolve between 24 - 72 hours.
is there any downtime?
You will have small bumps at the injection site, you can resume your regular activities, avoiding heavy exercise, excessive heat and makeup the day of the treatment.
