WHAT IS RADIESSE?

CONSULTATION
Your treatment begins with a comprehensive consultation. During this visit, Dr. Walters will evaluate your skin, discuss your concerns, and determine whether Radiesse® is the right treatment for you. A customized treatment plan will then be created based on the areas being treated and the results you wish to achieve.

THE TREATMENT
The treatment typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. After cleansing the skin, a topical anesthetic may be applied to maximize comfort. Depending on the treatment area, Radiesse® may be injected using a fine needle or a blunt-tip cannula to minimize discomfort and bruising.

AFTER THE TREATMENT
Most patients can return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection sites is common and usually resolves within a few days.
We recommend:
- Avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Limiting excessive sun or heat exposure for 24–48 hours
- Staying well hydrated
- Following any personalized aftercare instructions

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Some patients notice an immediate improvement due to the initial lifting effect of Radiesse®. However, the primary benefit comes from progressive collagen stimulation. As your body naturally produces new collagen, your skin gradually becomes firmer, smoother, and more elastic over the following 4-6 weeks, with continued improvement thereafter.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
The number of treatments varies depending on your age, skin quality, and treatment goals. Many patients achieve excellent results with 1-3 sessions, spaced 6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments usually every 12-15 months.
